One day our practice field was too muddy to march on, so we used the parking lot outside our bandroom. I decided to use the grassy hill on the other side of the lot for a make-shift "podium" since I didn't feel like hauling mine out there. Anyhow, the band was facing the other direction but my pattern was still pretty big. I went down for a HUGE one, and right when it hit, I slid all the way down the hill on my butt. Our percussion instructor was the only one who saw me do it, but it was still embarassing because after practice everyone was asking why I had mud all over my butt...hehehe
